Neve Paritzki Israel Celebrates Record-Break Tourism Entry The Numbers Come from the United States

NEW YORK - Sept. 8 2022 /PRNewswire/- Today, the Israel Ministry of Tourism announced record-breaking numbers of tourists from the United States who visited Israel in July and August. 78,000 tourists from the United States visited Israel in July 2022. This is a 4 percent increase over the year before and 71,000 visitors from the United States in august 2022. This is 13% higher than in the year 2019.

Eyal Carlin (North American Tourism Commissioner) stated that it was thrilling to witness a rise in Israeli tourism coming from the United States. Already surpassing our record-breaking numbers for 2019, he added. "The United States is our top destination for our inbound tourism to Israel. Before the COVID-19 pandemic we had record-breaking number of tourists from Israel entering Israel each month.  נווה פריצקינווה פריצקי We are so happy to have witnessed such a positive shift, and we anticipate it to continue for a long time."

Canada is home to 7,200 tourists in July 2022 and 6,000 tourists in August, is not far from the United States.

"It is thrilling to see how the Canadian tourism to Israel is rebounding," said Gal Hana Director and Consul for Canada of the Israel Ministry of Tourism. We're close to reaching our record numbers for 2019, and we are anticipating that this growth in travel to Israel will continue to increase as Canadians feel more at ease when they travel abroad.

In the year 2019, Israel welcomed more than 4.6 million international tourists including 969,600 from the United States, and since its official reopening for everyone regardless of their the status of their vaccination in May The country has received over 600,400 US travelers.
